Our Story
- Our publishing journey began in 1960, rooted in the visionary efforts of our founder, Shri. G.V. Hiwase — a brilliant academic from Mandgaon, a small village in Wardha district near Nagpur. Born into a humble farming family, he excelled in Mathematics and Geography, earning a position as a teacher in a Zilla Parishad (ZP) school in Nagpur. To support his family, he also tutored children from prominent families in the region.
- Recognizing the need for clear and accessible educational material, Shri. G.V. Hiwase’s meticulously crafted math notes became immensely popular among students and parents alike. Encouraged by this overwhelming response, he made the bold decision to leave his teaching career and dedicate himself fully to creating simplified, high-quality learning materials in Marathi. His wife, Pramilatai G. Hiwase, also a devoted school teacher, soon joined him in this noble mission.
- Their combined efforts gave rise to beloved publications such as Balvidya Balvachan, Marathi Navin Koshtake, and Balvidya Parikshechi Gurukkilli, which gained widespread acclaim across Maharashtra. Fondly known as “Guruji” and “Tatyaji”, Shri. G.V. Hiwase became a trusted name in education, respected by students, parents, and educators.
